MoverMate is ideal for student relocations, studio moves, small apartment transfers, and intercity moves within the Netherlands. If you are searching for an affordable man with a van service in the Netherlands, this model is designed for efficiency and predictable pricing.

3. When is MoverMate not the right choice?

This service is not designed for large family homes, full packing services, or complex multi-day relocations. For larger-scale moves requiring multiple movers or packing teams, a traditional moving company may be more appropriate.

4. How does the moving service work?

The van and driver arrive at the agreed time, load your prepared belongings, transport them directly to the destination, and unload upon arrival. MoverMate operates as a van + driver transport service with a focus on time efficiency and clear coordination.

5. How is the pricing calculated?

The standard rate is €49 per hour (van + driver). Fuel costs are calculated separately based on distance. The final total depends on moving time, travel distance, and access conditions such as stairs, elevators, or parking restrictions.

6. Are there any hidden costs?

No. MoverMate uses a transparent hourly pricing structure. You receive a tailored estimate before confirmation so you understand how the total cost is calculated.

7. Can you move a single item?

Yes. Single-item transport such as a sofa, mattress, wardrobe, or washing machine can be arranged. The price depends on size, distance, and total time required.

8. What items can be transported?

We transport standard household items including boxes, beds, sofas, desks, appliances, and personal belongings. The van capacity is approximately 12 cubic meters, suitable for student rooms and small apartments.

9. Why is it cheaper than other moving services?

MoverMate provides cost-effective moving services by focusing on efficiency and flexibility. Our approach is designed for anyone looking for an affordable and reliable moving solution, whether you're relocating within the city or moving to a new area.

Most moves only require one person and a van, reducing unnecessary costs. Additionally, many customers prefer to assist with loading and unloading, which helps keep the service budget-friendly.

If extra help is needed, we can provide an additional mover for just €25 per hour, ensuring you get the support required without overpaying. Our goal is to make moving simple, affordable, and hassle-free for everyone!

11. How big is your van?

The loading area is 3.5 x 2 x 2 meters. On average, 12m3 of items can fit in one trip.

The van is suitable for the contents of a student room or small apartment. If you are unsure whether your items will fit, you can contact us in advance to discuss your move.

12. How should I prepare for my move?

Pack smaller items in boxes before the move and keep access to the pickup and delivery locations clear. Inform us about stairs, elevator availability, and parking conditions ahead of time to avoid delays

13. What about insurance and item care?

MoverMate is designed for low-risk, everyday moves. Standard care and insurance applies during transport. If you are moving high-value, fragile, or irreplaceable items, we recommend to contact us.

14. Can I collect various items from different locations?

Absolutely! You can pick up items from multiple locations as our charges are based on hourly rates, not by the number of locations.

15. Can you also pick up purchases from IKEA or other retail stores?

Yes, we certainly can.

16. What are the payment options available?

You can pay using cash, bank transfer, or Tikkie.

17. Cancellation Fees

A cancellation fee of 49€ will be applied for intercity moves.
